Power Source Information:
History: Hydro power first started at 100 B.C. The people got the idea from Rome and Greek from Water wheel. Later the idea went from Asia and Europe.
How we get energy from the power source:
Quick explanation of process: The water falls down from a high place and the pressure makes the energy.
Inputs and or Resources required for the power: Water
How the Resouces is transformed to produce electricity: It goes through a machine
Cost of the inputs/resources: Free
Where the resource is from: From ocean, river, river and etc
Impact of the resource extraction: It takes a lot of space
Affects of the power generation on the environment: There is no pollution
Outputs (pollution, waste, byproducts) from the power generation
The animal needs to move because they need to cut trees for building dam
People need has impact because there can be floods on the ocean
It costs about $30000000
Time to build the generator:3 years
Cost of the energy produced to consumers:
Energy produced per power plant, per year: 2080 megawatts
The risks:
Risk of an accident, in a percentage
Result of a major accident
Result of a minor accident
Best location for the power plant:
Dams are expensive to build
There is no pollution
